Sitting on the west side of Lake Norman, and about 30-45 minutes from Charlotte. Offers a wide variety of activities, attractions, and entertainment because of its location, from fishing and boating on the lake to ballet in the city, Denver is a great place to live. Town festivals have included the annual Denver Days Event which brings fair rides for the kids, wonderful musicians, and live entertainment, while gathering businesses and vendor booths for the adults, and is held every September.  Denver has grown since the early days, it still maintains the ‘small town’ feeling, making it a great place to visit and even a better place to live. Many of the residents are content with the absence of lots of traffic and stores, as it makes for a more peaceful community. On the southern side of Denver, where US-16 meets US-73, you’ll find restaurants, stores, and service centers. When specific restaurants, entertainment, and shopping are wanted, a quick trip to either Mooresville or Huntersville or into Charlotte will give you more options than you would ever need.
